Lingerie Guide: Hot as Hell’s Latest Lookbook is a Peek into a Life Unfiltered

Lingerie Guide: Hot as Hell’s Latest Lookbook is a Peek into a Life Unfiltered
By Live Fast Mag

We knew we were going to vibe with Hot as Hell’s latest lookbook upon reading the closing from project photographer Michael Donovan’s artist statement: “Please remember YOU ARE NOT A CONSUMER!!! You are a human being! You were born naked so cover your body how you want. YOU ARE SEXY AS FUCK WHEN YOU ARE YOU!!!”

Traditional lingerie lookbooks have a special place in our heart. We love the glam, the sensual, the sexy, the vixen. However, we also love the natural, the untouched, the raw, the caught-in-the-moment. There’s something about real life authenticity that will always reign champion of our hearts.

Shot during a Michigan road trip, Michael Donovan opted out of staged moments and instead invited models to be and do as they please. In his own words, “You may notice a wrinkle in the clothes, a bruise on the thigh, goosebumps or the occasional cellulite. I didn’t photoshop any of the people to look thinner or ‘more perfect.’”

Take a peek at our favorite moments from Hot as Hell’s lookbook below and shop the collection here.

Postcards from Barcelona (What To Do, See, Eat)!

Postcards from Barcelona (What To Do, See, Eat)!
By Chloé

chloe hill in holiday the label red tshirt

First off I’d like to thank my Barca Angels James, Holly + Carly for making my brief stint in Barcelona so amazing. It’s all about those recommendations <3

…now I’m gonna pass on the love ♡

Here are my top places to see/eat/drink at in the beautiful city. PS. Above I’m wearing Holiday the Label and Emma Mulholland x Pared sunnies, dress below by Kate Sylvester.

EAT AT…

Bar Del Pla! I went here twice for yummy tapas. The ‘refreshing salad’ is seriously refreshing btw. The wine is also delicious + refreshing ;p

DRINK AT…

Can Cisa/Bar Brutal have the most amazing line up of natural wines. Plus the staff are great with recommendations so if you get confused (like me) just ask for them to pick.

VISIT…

Park Güell (a full post on this coming next!). The Gaudi designed park is amazing, but book tickets in advance as UNESCO have placed a limit on how many people can enter at one time. Also definitely stop by the Gaudi Exhibition Centre in central Barcelona at the start of your trip. It gives such great insight into the man himself, before you visit all of the buildings he has designed around town. Finally for art go to Fundació Joan Miró and  Museu Picasso.

SHOP AT…

Mercat dels Encants is a flea market (not far from the beautiful church La Sagrada Familia). You’ll only need 30 mins to get a round the stalls as most of them are junky. Just make a bee line for the antique stalls to uncover some gems like handmade ceramics, brass homewares and other cute nicknacks.

“Made You Blush” by Brittany Brooks

“Made You Blush” by Brittany Brooks
By Erin Rose Belair

If you grew up in the suburbs, some middle America space where the sprinklers turn on at the same time every day, then you know regularity like an opiate. How one can come to crave the strangeness, how it can come crawling out of you, your neighbor, your mother in the afternoon. There is such beauty in it, such oddness in the normal-ness. So much, it can make you blush if you look right at.

Photographer Brittany Brooks has nailed this sort of afternoon, crawling from a dream like haze. With the accompaniment of model Julie Mayorga who fills the role perfectly, they have struck a chord of iconic suburban strangeness that quite frankly I don’t think there is enough of right now. It’s in the movement of her limbs, it’s in the hue of the pink, the height of the hedge.

Take a peek at our favorite selects below and keep up with the latest from Brittany here.

Add a little Moroccan spice to your home

Add a little Moroccan spice to your home
By noreply@blogger.com (My Scandinavian Home)

Touches of Moroccan design can be seen in many homes right now  – and there are some beautiful shops out there selling all kinds of wonderful, unique finds. One of my favourites is El Ramla Hamra meaning ‘the red sand’, inspired by the “red city” of Marrakesh and the sands of the beautiful Sahara in southern Morocco. Based in Holland, owners Salahdin and Melanie are passionate about finding special Moroccan products and creating their own designs. And when you see these pictures you’ll know why I love the Etsy shop so much. I mean, who wouldn’t want their home to look just a little like this?!

Photography courtesy of El Ramla Hamra.

So inspiring!

I particularly love the Moroccan blanket with pom poms and Beni Ourain double poufs.

Is there anything that catches your eye?

A few inspiring homes with Moroccan touches (I’m on a roll now…. and hey, it’s always great to get some ideas on how to incorporate the look into your own home, right?!): the boho home of Carley Summers, a wonderfully relaxed Skåne home and Tamsin Flower’s cheerful London home.

Have a lovely day!

PS El Ramla Hamra also sells through their webshop here

Si’s lovely San Francisco home

Si’s lovely San Francisco home
By noreply@blogger.com (My Scandinavian Home)

Hello! I hope you’re having a great day? I’m on my way to Northern Norway for an Arctic sailing trip with some girlfriends – crazy, but hopefully lots of fun (keep an eye on Instagram stories for updates if you’re curious!). I wanted to pop in on route to share this beautiful home with you. The apartment belongs to the wonderful Si, blogger behind French By Design and is located on the top floor of a Victorian building in San Francisco. I’m loving the dark floor against the fresh white walls, mid-century touches and mustard accents!

Photos / Interior design: Si – French By Design

Soooo lovely!

A few items I know and love (in order of appearance): Juju hat, Tom Ford book , source a mid-century credenza here, natural leather pouf (love this!), knot cushion.

For more pictures and notes on where items are from, hop on over to Si’s blog here. And take a tour of her previous home here.

Have a lovely day!

PS I received a note yesterday to say my blog was downloading really slowly – is anyone else having this issue? If so, please give me a shout in the comment section below!

An Exploration of Self: Israel-based Street Artist Klone Dresses the World in Color

An Exploration of Self: Israel-based Street Artist Klone Dresses the World in Color
By Julia Childs

Perhaps one of the most beautiful aspects of street art is its global presence. Across the world, there are walls doused in color, pieces of an artist left as cultural artifacts, spaces in time preserved for locals and tourists alike. Klone, an Israel-based street artist, refers to his latest body of work as “an exploration of personal topography.” This series dresses brick and cement walls across various locales – from Canada to Ukraine to his native Israel – with otherworldly creatures, hypnotic patterns, and a sense of lighthearted wonder.

Take a peek at our favorite walls from Klone below. Keep up with more of his work here.
